I've also noticed that we often let people get away with being annoying because they're pretty funny. That wears off, too.

And the people who are allowed to be annoying because they bring food/booze/etc. That also wears thin fairly fast.

At this point I'm on a bit of a trek through my current social landscape pruning as much of the annoyances as I can, because I've reached a stage in my life where there is very little that makes it worth putting up with, y'know?
