I just did a little back-reading in my own journal ('cause, Holy Jeebus-Kabob, there's nothing to do at work.) I realized that all I ever seem to write about is what the other people in my life are doing, and I've been quite negative of late. So here's a little positivity!!
I love tea. Alot. I'm drinking Green Tea right now. I've already had 4 cups. My dad gives me a box of tea almost every time I go to see him. It's good for you, he says, full of antioxidants.
I love LiveJournal. It gives me a creative outlet, an incredibly efficient method of communication with friends near and far, and satisfies both my exhibitionistic and voyeuristic urges. Monica
legacy147 even has an Lj now!!!
I would also like to praise Dictionary.com. It rocks so hard I can barely stand it. I have a rather large vocabulary as it is, but I'm sometimes insecure about usage. I have a sufficient understanding of most 'big words' that are part of my functional vocabulary, but if I'm not sure, I'll look it up. This is great because I frequently discover additional meanings, allowing me to use multisyllabic words EVEN MORE OFTEN!!! No, I am NOT pretentious.
{My inner Monica-logue says, "That's right, keep telling youself that..." (I know, Monica-logue isn't as funny as Mom-ologue)}
Word of the Day:
The funny thing is that I look up words sometimes that I don't know the meaning of, but I still spell them perfectly. Language comes to me so naturally that I cannot fathom what it would be like to struggle with words. I am also hesitant to learn any other languages, not because they are less eloquent than English (actually I suspect the opposite is likely true,) but because I am so proficient in English that I fear I would become terribly frustrated and give up after trying to express a complex thought.
I also love TV. My parents are giving me a TV tomorrow. I lamented that while we have Über-Cable thanks to Monica's job at Time Warner, we only have a tiny little TV to watch it on. They then told me that the TV in the basement is never used, and it is mine anyway! I had forgotten that it was Christmas present to me like, 12 years ago. Hot damn.
I love computers. (Thank you Captain Obvious)
I do not have a computer of my own. I have not had a working computer in my domicile since mid-July when the one belonging to the person I was living with broke, and Monica's hasn't worked since approximately the same time. My aunt Sherry just bought a new computer and was going to give her old one to my brother. He only wanted it so he could hunt virtual deer and catch virtual fish and look at virtual porn. I talked both of them into letting me have it until at least Christmas, when hopefully I can afford to buy one of my own since I will be working full time for the first time in my life. (Fucking school...)
This means that tomorrow I will have a WORKING computer of my own and a BIGGER TV!!! (Size does matter.)
Hmm... The eyes are doing well. I can see really well and the drops aren't too much of a pain in my ass. I only have to do them until tomorrow or Sunday, or until I run out. Plus, I only have two more nights of wearing retarded goggles while I sleep.
Surprisingly, most callers are skeptical when I tell them I just had my eyes treated. I've had several people ask me if I'm just supposed to say that, even if I haven't had them done. I swear, people are so jaded.
I love Ebay as well. I just won this item for $19.99!!! This is about a $60 value. So stoked, yeah.

It looks like this, only BLACK!! (wooowooo)
