I haven't really cared to update this thing in at least a year, and even though I usually read it every day, I've noticed that less than 25% of my contacts ever post, and that demographic is pretty even split among people I know in RL and follow on Twitter/FB (thus making most posts redundant), and strictly internet-friends. I just went through and removed everyone who hadn't posted in at least a year and my list has shrunken dramatically.

So basically, I'm taking LJ off my daily reading list. If you want to keep up with me still, find me on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/savvyminx

Wonderful! You've got a great eye for colour.

A lot of people are doing hand-dyed yarns, but much of it is variations on the same old same old. One of the reasons I put up with Noro sock yarn is because they have such fabulous colour combinations. The yarn sucks (until it's been through the washer a couple of times) but the colours are wonderful.

My advice therefore is go for the colours: Jewel tones, darker colours, unusual combinations. And let me know where to find it!!!

That's absolutely the plan. Phosphor and cobalt go truly stripey! I also have a few other ideas percolating in there. I do still need to choose my new yarn stock. My old standby is harder to get now, and I always thought it was a bit on the thin side anyway. Shopping for this kind of thing on the internet is such a pain. I think it's going to involve some trial and error, but I want to pick a really good base yarn that people will rave about.
